About The Academy
The Zion Lutheran Academy provides classical Lutheran education in the inner-city of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Following the trivium method we provide our students with a true education in the liberal arts. Along with the core curriculum using Saxon Math and Shurley Grammar students can expect to study Latin, music, theater, art and organized sports. Our students don't just read about the classics, they read the classics. We begin every day with Matins, Morning Prayer, or a catechetical Latin prayer service. We conclude the week with Compline. At the Zion Lutheran Academy the gifted student is challenged and the struggling student is nurtured.
The Zion Lutheran Academy offers pre-school through eighth grades. No matter how large we grow, we will always maintain small class sizes. Because of the cumulative nature of classical curriculum it is challenging for students to begin mid-year or after the sixth grade. Students are encouraged to start at the beginning of the school year. However, we accept applications throughout the school year and exceptions are made on a case by case basis. Financial aid is available!
